Project Manager

This is a newly created position to cope with the rapidly growing business in First Data


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibility: % of Time Spent

 Responsible for the evaluation, planning, and execution of large projects �C including the reviewing and understanding of all project financial, business, and technical requirements following accredited project management methodology under international project management institutions, such as PMI.
 Driving and working closely with multi-cultural project team to ensure the projects are delivered within the budget achieving major milestones to achieve high level of customer satisfaction.
 Able to mobilize resources both internally and externally based on project needs.
 Responsible for progress and issue reporting to internal and client management teams and facilitates client interaction with the project team throughout the project schedule.
 Is responsible for the planning and execution of specific projects, reviewing and fully understanding all project and business requirements, directing staff as well as coordinating across functions internally and externally to ensure on-time, on-budget, and in-spec delivery to accomplish tasks. May have people to manage but is not responsible for hiring, firing, compensation, etc.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Level of Education: Type of Degree:

• Bachelor Degree or above from a reputable University in relevant discipline in either Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant disciplines.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:



• Possess no less than 10 years of project management experience, preferably having led technology related outsourcing or other consulting projects targeted clients in the banks or major financial institutions in China.
• He / she should have experience leading projects with manpower and budget management acquired from a Chinese or multi-national organization.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodology, i.e. PMI certification to ensure the project management process is smooth with clearly defined metrics to track progress.
• Consumer credit and payment industry or working knowledge of a retail banking system application such as transaction switching, authorization, settlement and item processing is a plus.
• Customer-oriented with focus on achieving project goals with high level of customer satisfaction.
• Effective communicator, coordinator, win-win negotiator who can reach a compromised or intermediate solution.
• Exhibits integrity in dealing with others.

Language Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) is required.
